Unity Health CAMP

CAMP Information

Program Purpose:

Careers and Medical Professions (CAMP) is a special summer program designed for students who are interested in pursuing careers in the healthcare field. The program offers students opportunities to participate in medical-related activities such as first aid, CPR, healthy lifestyle education, and basic nursing skills.

Additional Learning Opportunities Include:

    Unity Health facility tours

    Participation in disaster drill

    Guest speakers

    Medical personnel shadowing

    Healthcare job preparation

    Mock healthcare position interviews

Requirements:

    GPA of 2.5 or higher

    Completed application form

    Two letters of recommendation

    Recent school transcript

    Short written essay about why you are interested in CAMP

    Personal transportation to and from CAMP each day

Prerequisite Courses:

There are no prerequisite courses; however, some biology knowledge is helpful.

July 10-14 (Grades 10th-12th)

Unity Health - White County Medical Center (Searcy)

Times:

8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with lunch provided
