My Practice
I am a Christian psychologist. I care about my patients, I will try to assist them, and I will not manipulate them. Many different types of patients see me, such as those dealing with:
- Mood disorders
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Marital/Relationship problems
- Spouse Abuse
- Panic Attack Disorders
- Bipolar Disorders (with a Psychiatrist as liaison)
- Sexual Dysfunctions
- Sexual Addictions
- Substance Abuse and Addiction (after rehab)
- Teenagers with Adjustment Disorder with Disturbance of Emotions and Conduct (Oppositional Defiant Disorder)
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorders
- Various other disorders
While I cannot prescribe medication, I work with doctors in the Searcy Medical Center facility or in the area to recommend the medications you might need. I have been in this facility since 1977 and am blessed with an excellent working relationship with the wonderful doctors and pharmacies in this area, including doctors in Heber Springs, Bald Knob, Beebe, Cabot, Batesville, Newport, Augusta, McCrory, Quitman and Judsonia.
I do not see children under the age of 12 except for bedwetting or family counseling related to parenting skills. Some local courts and the attorney ad litem also send FINS (Families in Need of Services) cases to my practice.
I do not handle Alzheimers, Parkinsons or other geriatric disorders.
My Staff
Lucy is the one who makes things happen around here, and I could not function without her expertise and care about my patients. She greets everyone with a smile, handles scheduling, prepares my charts for me, and much more. Lucy is a Christian, is very excellent at keeping client information confidential, and is very ethical.
Our very excellent insurance staff at Searcy Medical Center does an excellent job of working with Lucy to make sure we get proper pre-certification and handling of patient claims. There is a trust and teamwork among all the nurses, physicians and staff here at Searcy Medical Center that makes this a fantastic place to be. The nurses and staff are very special to me and I would not have success if it weren't for all of them. I love it.
