Resumé and credentials

My practice
I practice General Orthopedics. As such, I deal with various conditions of the musculoskeletal system, both adult and pediatric. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Infections of the bones and joints
- Injuries to bones, joints, ligaments and tendons (fractures, dislocations, lacerated or torn tendons and ligaments)
- Degenerative conditions of the muscoskeletal system
- Arthritis and other inflammatory conditions
- Skeletal deformities
- Nerve entrapment problems such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Special Interests
I have special interest in hip and knee joint replacement surgery.
My practice does involve both operative and non-operative treatment for various orthopedic disorders.
My philosophy about Pain Management
Pain can be grouped into acute (less than 3 months) and chronic (more than 3 months) types of pain. Acute pain management, such as occurs after an injury or after surgery, I believe should be treated adequately with short-term narcotic pain medication in appropriate dosages. Patients who have chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic spine pain, etc. requiring pain management should seek treatment elsewhere, since I do not deal with that type of chronic pain problem.
